Answers to the questions we hear most, from getting started and what to expect in your first session, to fees, telehealth and assessments. Can't find what you're after? Just ask.
Send us an enquiry or give us a call on 0406 002 269. We'll ask a few questions to understand what you're looking for and make sure we're the right fit, then find a time that works for you. Send an enquiry.
Yes. New clients can start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're the right fit before booking a full session. Get in touch.
No, you don't need a referral to see us. To claim a Medicare rebate, you'll need a referral and Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
We keep wait times to a minimum, so you won't be waiting long to get started.
Existing clients can book online at any time. New clients, please send an enquiry first and we'll be in touch within one business day. Book online.
For children and adolescents, the first session often includes time with parents or carers to understand the history and context, as well as time with your child. For adults, it's a chance to talk through what's brought you in and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. Either way, there's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive. We'll work it out together.
If you have them, bring a Mental Health Care Plan and referral from your GP, which is what lets you claim a Medicare rebate. It also helps to bring any previous reports or assessments that might be relevant, such as school reports or reports from other specialists.
Both. Sessions are available at our Murrumbeena clinic or online via telehealth, whichever suits you best.
We're at 24/981 North Road, Murrumbeena. The office complex sits between the pet store (blue building) and the tyre and mechanic shop (orange building). Go through the side door by the boom gate, dial 24 on the intercom and take the lift to level two. If you arrive early, please wait outside until your appointment time to respect other clients' privacy. See the map and full directions.
We'll agree on a plan together, including how often you'd like to come in. You're always welcome to ask questions along the way. Therapy works best as a two-way conversation, not something done to you.
We work with children, adolescents and adults, across the full lifespan.
Individual sessions are $250 per hour. With a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $149.05, bringing your out-of-pocket cost to $100.95. Group sessions are $60, or $8.40 out of pocket with a rebate. See all fees and rebates.
Assessments follow a structured process: a clinical interview, standardised questionnaires and testing, then a feedback session where we go through the results together. You'll also receive a comprehensive written report with practical recommendations to keep. See each assessment in detail.
