Parenting programs

Practical, evidence-based one-on-one programs that help parents build stronger relationships and calmer days at home.

01

Behavioural Parenting Training

Stronger relationships, calmer routines

Practical strategies for building a stronger relationship with your child and managing everyday behaviour. Sessions cover child-led play and praise, effective use of rewards, clear and consistent limits and appropriate consequences, all practised at home between sessions.

02

ROAR

Regulating Overload and Rage, for kids around 8 to 12

A structured program for children who have frequent meltdowns or explosive behaviour. ROAR combines emotion regulation skills with Collaborative Problem Solving, helping children spot and manage frustration before it escalates, and helping families work through the problems behind the behaviour together.

The goal: fewer explosive episodes, stronger coping skills and better family relationships.

03

Collaborative Problem Solving

Developed by Dr Ross Greene

CPS is built on the idea that kids do well if they can. Challenging behaviour usually reflects a skill a child hasn't developed yet, not a lack of motivation. Instead of relying on rewards or punishment, we work with your child to understand what's getting in the way and solve problems together.

04

Support for neurodivergent children

Tailored to your child

Tailored strategies for parents raising autistic children, children with ADHD or children with other neurodevelopmental differences.

02 · Assessments

Clear answers, practical next steps

We offer comprehensive assessments for ADHD, cognitive (IQ) functioning and Specific Learning Disorder, for children, adolescents and adults. Each one comes with a written diagnostic report and clear, practical recommendations.

Assessment 01

ADHD assessment

  1. Clinical interview. For children, we meet with parents or carers to explore development, behaviour, learning and current concerns. For adolescents and adults, we talk through symptoms, daily life and how things have changed over time.
  2. Questionnaires. Parents, teachers and the individual complete the Conners-4 and Vineland-3, covering attention, behaviour, emotional regulation and everyday skills.
  3. School reports to give us a fuller picture.
  4. Cognitive testing using the WISC-V for children, or the WAIS-IV for adolescents and adults.
  5. Semi-structured interview using the DIVA-5, which looks at ADHD symptoms across childhood and adulthood.
  6. Feedback session to go through your results and report.
Assessment 02

Cognitive (IQ) assessment

  1. Developmental interview to understand history and current concerns.
  2. Questionnaires. Parents and school may be asked about behaviour, emotional regulation and everyday skills.
  3. Cognitive testing. A two-hour assessment using the WISC-V or WAIS-IV.
  4. Feedback session with the client or their parents.

Cognitive testing can also help identify intellectual disability or giftedness, giving a clearer picture of a person's overall strengths.

Assessment 03

Academic assessment

  1. Developmental interview to understand history and learning.
  2. Academic testing. A two to three hour assessment using the WIAT-III, covering reading, writing and maths.
  3. Questionnaires about behaviour and everyday functioning.
  4. Feedback session to go through your results.

Used to assess for Specific Learning Disorder, such as difficulties with reading, writing or maths.

Every feedback session is a chance to go through your comprehensive written report with your psychologist. The report is then yours to keep.
